Â鶹ɫÇ鯬CSJ began with an interest group in the fall of 2019.  On March 12, 2021, Â鶹ɫÇ鯬CSJ received university chapter status from the national organization, a division of the American Counseling Association.

Â鶹ɫÇ鯬CSJ’s purpose is to bring together agents of change in the Â鶹ɫÇ鯬 community who are ready and willing to take action towards addressing social inequities, combat generational stigma about mental health, promote cultural competence, and make positive societal change through collaborative work amongst social service professionals that is action driven.
